It actually was a really fun date. We rode the train approx. 40 minutes each way, listened to music, they had a magician on the train, viewed the beautiful snow-covered Utah mountains, and of course cuddled up. The train is from the 1930's and has not been restored - it's really a fun outing. You feel like you literally are back in time.
Maybe they should market a North & South train event for the ladies of Utah who love good period-dramas. Or maybe not. Maybe you should just tell your man you have a really good idea for a date, or have your man talk to my man.

That scene in North and South is the best moment ever. Fun date! Cute couple! :)
So when we rode the heber creeper it was nothing like that. It was in the summer time and we were on a train car without windows and just hard seats. We also had our kids with us along with the extended family. it was a family reunion. We might need to try it again.
How fun! I love the ending on North and South too - much better than the ending of Wives and Daughters where Molly and Roger are walking side by side in Africa and not even holding hands :)!!! Glad you had a fun, romantic date!
