The Sister Sandwich

Sometimes I feel like the unsavory slice of salami in the middle of the sister sandwich! I feel good about who I am, and yet, sometimes I feel like the strange one between my older sister Leslie who is 28, has two college degrees, is married to a Phd and has four babies and lives in Germany, and my little sister Brooke, who is a gorgeous size 6 blonde who had a 16 year old b-day party with 35 people, and only 3 girls! She is a super-star drill team dancer, and oh, so cute. Did I mention she has a boyfriend too? I, well, am 27, and still very single, am in college again, and enjoy reading Foucault. Hmmm...

Maybe you are the delightful honey roasted turkey and delicious provalone cheese between two slices of your everyday average white bread.

But the fillings of a sandwich are what make it special...otherwise it would just be bread!

I guess I should have said I feel like the white slice of bread next to the two sisters! They seem interesting and I right now feel very dull and static and boreing!

so interesting to add your Foucoult comment into the thoughts about how your sisters are fitting into the 'tested norm' - I think I'm seeing a correlation. I love Foucoult too and our little prof says he's going to give us someone to read from the same school who is more extreme than Foucoult-- and who he happens to like better... I call dibs on that for my research paper topic. :)
And, btw, you are fascinating and delightful! And I think Foucoult would be proud of you, too. :)

p.s. does your family know about this blog?

Of course not. Then I would have to start editing what I say...I'm also going to spring on them the copy of my published paper with swear words in it! *only in quotes though*. LOL.

Also, none of this is derrogatory towards my two wonderful sisters, its not their fault they are wonderful! I guess it can be harder to see what is "wonderful" in your own self.
